The Porsche 993 was created in 1993 by Englishman Toni Hatter and retained the basic shell of the 964 and other earlier 911 models, but with revised external panels, with much more flared wheel arches and a smoother front and rear bumper design, an enlarged retractable rear wing, teardrop mirrors, but keeping the doors and roof panels. The Porsche 993 like the 964 came as a couple, Targa and cabriolet. The 993 will forever have a place in the heart of Porsche purists with it being the last of the air-cooled 911’s. The 993 is often referred to as the most desirable 911, not only because of its stunning good looks but also because of the outstanding performance, even by modern standards.
